    - his DNA was found in sweat residue on other parts of the car.

His DNA was on the underside of her car hood.

    - her phone, pda, and camera were in a burn barrel 20 ft from his door.

I guess she put those in the barrel.

I guess we will agree to disagree. I am not a social justice warrior.

does that evidence out weight the other evidence presented by the defendant.

The DNA part was not allowed to be analyzed by the defense so its hearsay.
Those burn items were presented just like the body could've been planted.

Remember if this was one of your family members would you be okay with the way this trial and the police behavior?

I'm sure that the police planted her burned bones, pda, phone, etc in his burn barrel less than 40 feet from his back porch.

Then the took his sweat and placed it under the hood on the latch of her car that was found buried under junk in the rear side of the family yard...

I see that you have partaken of the Koolaid...

    OK!

ok so the Bloodvile and box evidence was just opened randomly?? and the room were the rape and killing took place was cleaned spotless. ok I got a better one let me call in some plates 2 days before the car is found. ever heard of high velocity splatter?? the autopsy revealed that the part of the skull that was found with a gunshot wound. its very hard to clean high velocity splatter from a gunshot wound expecially in carpet and clothes and in a room.

The Sheriffs dept dicked this case up so bad its hard to say if he's guilty. I think Avery's retarded nephew got the detective's thinking the rape and murder took place in the trailer bedroom. I don't know if anyone knows for sure where the girl was murdered. I wouldn't be suprised if new evidence points to other members of the family doing the crime though.

My fav was the dumbass sheriff sgt. who wrote a report (just before Avery was released from prison, and about 15 years to late) detailing a conversation with a detective from another county telling said sgt Avery was innocent. Then same sgt called in rav 4 plates two days before rav 4 and victim was declared missing. There is a lot left unsaid on all of that.

I haven't finished the series yet, and still undecided. The thing that might be most troubling for me is that the cops took EIGHT DAYS to "investigate" the Avery property. Furthermore, Manitowoc cops were not supposed to participate in the investigation, yet somehow they were allowed to scour every square inch of the property.

Including finding the "crucial" evidence. Amazing how 2 cops named in Avery's civil suit came up with the Rav 4 keys after every other cop in Wisconsin who had been through the trailer couldn't find. Amazing. Simply Amazing.

The documentarians (is that a word?) are using the same tools of distraction that a magician uses...focus on this little detail right over here and forget about the big picture. They want you to base your decision on a few iffy details and forget about the fact that this played out over MONTHS in court. You watched like 6 hours and believe he should be set free. Don't forget there is a family who lost a daughter, sister, aunt, etc...to some sick fuck who treated her like a piece of trash.

Never claimed he was innocent buddy.

I'm enraged over the sloppy police work that got him sentenced to prison the first time. And the same "quality" police work that makes us even question if they have the right person.

It's all good. I do agree there were some problems police-wise. And the editors of the show did a good job getting us all squawking about it. We all have our opinions and we all know what those are worth...
