Has anyone found that the touch up paint for silver streak doesn't match and is too dark? I have tried duplicolor brush and can. Spray can is closer but still too dark. Any ideas?

    None yet...just warmin' up
Artruck, I just had my hood scoop, grille surround and rear bumper professionally redone by a GOOD local body shop, Campbell's. The son is a personal friend, and gave me first-class service. I watched as the paint guys (south-of-the-border) fanned through their paint cards in the sunshine, along the front edge of my hood...until they reached the perfect match. The code for my "Silver Streak Mica" is recorded with them, for future reference. I would get a small quantity of that match, if I decided I needed it, vs. any parts-counter offering from Toyota.

The end result is awesome...I wish I could afford a total paint job, but cannot. Instead, I will also do the hood and front bumper as the odometer reads 144K, with the inevitable road rash of small nicks and touch-ups. I plan to get a second estimate for those from a custom rod shop, and will get the Campbell's code if I choose that path.

I attach pics of the finished grille and scoop, with stock center replaced by a nice billet. It will wait for the hood and bumper work before installation.
