2.4l 4cyl with 5 speed, does it have a dipstick? I can't seem to find one. Tranny is starting to sound louder than normal.

It probably just needs a fluid change. it’s a pretty straight forward DIY type thing

the dipstick is your index finger. Take the upper plug out and stick your finger in and bend it down, if you feel fluid you are good. Dont over tighten the plug going back in.

The 'mt' in the name of the Redline mt-90 stands for 'manual transmission 90 weight. It is specially formulated for manual transmissions. While 75w90 is also a 90 weight oil, use it in your diffs and t-case if you have one.

Remove fill plug BEFORE drain plug and replace crush washers with new ones.
Change your rear differential breather while you're at it.

Fillin from the shifter hole is easier unless you have a hand pump.

That would be an interesting project make a Dip Stick for the transmission and transfer case.

For those days you really don`t want to crawl under the truck.

tip: if your pump doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle, buy 4 qts. Hero of the day, an unused 12'oz beer bottle (new).
