Are those conditions down hill with a tail wind? :p

A truck rolling on 35's with a drop bracket is not going create more eid resistance ad get the upper range mpgs that people have posted on the site....

Avg of 320 to 350 till the light goes on.... Mixed driving. I never do the math, and rarely eve run it past 1/4 tank, but if u wanna do the math, ur welcome to.

Usually 1 passenger, maybe the dog too, 1 toolbox loaded with tools and first responder gear, tires are 265/75/16 same as the spare, load range c.... Sliders, light bar, 2” lift.

All tanks are 91 octane rating... Miles didn't change 1 bit with headers, intake, y pipe, exhaust, or blower.

I believe the right foot, and tire pressure affect my mileage more.

I did recently install a scangauge2 and took the ultragauge out.... I have to calibrate this thing still for mileage and initial fill up... Then I'll give ya my mpg numbers in the future.

If anyone can send a link about proper scangauge2 calibration, I'd appreciate it very much..... Feel free to pm it to me.

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
I only have a 2.7, so wheel diameter and weight affect the mileage more because the engine is not nearly as powerful as the 4.0. I get 23-4 mpg city, and 28-9 highway which is what my old 2.4 Gen1 got.

I have to agree.. Tho technically illegal, sometimes its safer to go with the flow of traffic if the conditions allow.... I hate driving my girls car in so cal because of the typical speeds. Her car is a 1.5 mirage and maybe pushes 100hp at the crank with the absolute best variables. Doing 65 tho leads u to being an obstruction in any lane... Then u have people (rightfully) passing u no matter what lane ur in.... This increases the potential of accidents in front of u because these people are going around u and merging again.

Besides, for me I only drive in the fast lane for safety reasons... The slow lane is filled with rigs..... U have people constantly swapping lanes to merge on and off the freeway. I always always always merge and merge with the intention of ending up in the fast lane. I'll do the limit or go with traffic... I don't assume its the fast lane and I can do 80... I just want to be free of all the others merging... Plus if things go down, I have the diamond lane, and or the left shoulder to try and avoid any accidents.

To each their own..... Driving locations and timing can have a large effect on typical highway speeds. I don't encourage reckless driving tho, I just have to agree with the prior post... Sometimes going the speed limit can be dangerously slow.... I'm sure many officers know this and would be willing to work with u if u get pulled over... Just don't lie to them.

I'm not even talking about speeding, maybe slightly. Plenty of places here in Texas where the speed limit is 70-75. 65 is usually the low end so going 68-72 is just normal driving around here.

hmmm. well When I did a road trip from AZ to colorado and back, my cruise control was set at 79 nearly the entire way. On the hilly parts I was getting around 18 where as on the relatively flat parts I was getting 20. This is on everything stock except the tires are 265/70/17 with a moderate amount of weight in the bed and 4 people in the cab.

That was just me generalizing things here in ca... Sorry, I didn't notice ur location..
I just woke up, and thought u were getting flak for driving a Lil over the limit.

    My bad.

I do think my truck feels fine up to 75 tho.... If condition necessitates it. I do have an aal and eibachs and every truck is different.
I also believe every vehicle has a sweet spot that it seems to run smoothly and happily.... Could all be in my head.

How on earth do you achieve that? Maybe its because you got the Pro Comp and I got the Fabtech lol. But with my 6" fabtech on Cooper 35's, Im LUCKY to get 15 mpg on any highway with the wind pushing me! And I keep my truck pretty empty on the inside. Its even worse when I take my tonneau off. Needless to say im curious to our trucks differences to cause such a fuel difference.

temperature can play a role. If its colder where you are, you will get less MPG. Elevation also palys a role. If you are lower, you will get less MPG.

I have read some where on here that guys are saying keeping your rmp's at no more then 2000 you will get the best mpg. Don't know what the mph would be, but has any one found this to be true ?

I drive that same route going to Canada want to really watch your mileage drop like a rock try those speeds with a trailer I have gotten as low as 10 MPG cut my mileage in half. Just got back from VT and my speed never went above 60 with the same trailer got 15.2
