Mud Flaps

My 33"+ 255/85/16 BFG KM2s fit.
I stuffed them as far as I could with a bottle jack under the LCA and it looks like it wont be a problem. At full lock.

Update. They barely rub if I'm at full lock and bounce it pretty hard.

 

Yep, same PN as the ones sold on TW, but I bought it elsewhere.

You are running OEM wheels with +30mm offset. My Konigs are 0mm offset, so the tires pivot on 1.2" greater scrub radius. That's probably the reason for the rub. On the other hand, the truck looks a lot better with a wider stance, without requiring wheel spacers.

 

yep, I have a set. They have 27k on them and I dont have all of the push pin things.

Just put a set on my truck, clear my 265/75/16 tires with room to spare f&r. Got them on eBay (pics on eBay), called RokBlokz. Guy in Provo makes them. Nice and flexible.

 

When the third mud flap broke of on a trail I took the last one off and threw out away.

 

I left the rear ones on. Just had to take the front ones off. Just looks cleaner to me that way

 

I wished the stock ones were a little bit smaller but they do an excellent job of keeping rocks and other road debris off the truck. I definitely see why people remove them but I'll keep mine on just for the paint protection since I plan on keeping the truck for years to come.

 

I trimmed mine up a lot to clear the front tires. I also trimmed up the font flaps width since the inner bulge is where my rubbing was. The flaps still seem to be doing a good job keeping rocks/dirt off the side despite their small size.

 

Mine are stock for now. Once I replace the Bridgestones and add Bilsteins we'll see.

 

I hot stuck in the mud and ended up ripping all mine off tring to get out.

 

Shortened mine by 2 inches all the way around.

Alright I voted left them on/original this morning but after reading through this thread I decided it was time for the front ones to go. I have hated them since the day I picked up the truck so it felt good to take them off finally. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to trim them down about 4 inches or just put some clear 3M paint protection film on the rocker panels yet. The bad news is my truck only has 3,800 miles on it and they had already started to dig into the paint on the fender flares. Not bad but there is a line there. Do the Husky ones line up the exact same as the stock ones or is that line of missing paint going to show even with the husky ones installed? If so I'll just trim the stock ones.

 

Any pics of your truck with them trimmed 4"'s?

That looks perfect! This is what I'm going to do because the more I look at it today with them off I'm not sure I like it. It looks better than the dumbo ears but I think it looks perfect how you have done yours. Are you running 265/75 tires?

 

My tires are 265/70/17.

I agree on the trimmed look being perfect. I hate the factory length, but I never really loved the look of them removed either. I went several months without them, and when I finally trimmed them and put them back on, it took me a couple days to get used to having them back, but the more I look at my truck with them on and trimmed, the more I like it.
