I’ve got a set of TRD PRO mudflaps that I’m trying to get rid of. Message me if you’re in New Jersey and you can have it for $20-$30. Otherwise it will go into the recycle bin in 2 weeks recycling pick up at my city.

Correction: it was take off from a 2024 TRD pro truck. So not necessarily a pro mudflaps.

I got my Weathertech mud flaps today. Fronts went on fine. Rear, not so much. The kit comes with 10 hex head screws, and they tell you to remove the existing hex head screws and then use their larger ones to attach the flaps.

Well, there aren't any screws in the rear on mine. Just these weird plastic push-pin things with a square in the center. WTF am I supposed to do with these? Anyone else installed them that has these same goofy pins? I do not have fender flares. There's not a lot of support there either.

Have you tried putting a screw in the square opening? That's where the screw goes.

I was wondering if that might work, or if I drilled a small hole through the center of it to give the screw something to bite into.

Or can I pull those plugs out, then put them back through the WT liner if they're long enough? The WT liners do have a recess in them that appears large enough to accommodate these plastic plugs.

EDIT: I found the Toyota OEM install instructions and you're right. Their instructions say to just put the screws right into that center section. I took one out and did a test fit, seems like it should work fine. I'll try to attach them in the morning with more light. Shouldn't take more than 90 seconds a side if I don't have to remove any existing hardware :) Not sure why the WT instructions tell you to remove existing screws when they don't exist, unless maybe they do on some trims.
