I'm pretty sure I can connect my phone to the infotainment system and play music from it. Do I just connect it on the right side of the IF system port?

Easier to wireless connect it through Android Auto or Apple Carplay. Automatically connects each time you get in the truck.

Why didn't I think of that already? Thanks!

The dealer should have sat with you on delivery and guided through everything. I'm pretty good with technology, but I'm glad the salesman guided me though it o_O

I'd also recommend that you use a player app. I used Fermata Media Player on my Android phone for a while. I've since switched to using a thumb drive on the acc port because I don't like to use my phone battery just for playing music.

Does anyone know if music being played thru an app like Amazon Music sounds better if the phone is plugged into the infotainment screen rather than connecting using Bluetooth? I noticed in my 2022 Tacoma the sound was A LOT better when it wasn’t connected via Bluetooth. When i listened via Bluetooth it sounded terrible. I haven’t tried to do that yet in the 24

From a sound quality perspective, Bluetooth is definitely not the best way to listen to music. It’s good for convenience, headphones, earbuds or just not wanting to plug your phone in for whatever reason, but the sound quality is definitely lower than any wired method. I’ve had trucks with wired CarPlay and wireless CarPlay and the wired one is my preferred method. I thought the wireless CarPlay was going to be great and the lower sound quality isn’t really enough to bother me, but it really chews through your battery quick so I found that I was plugging my phone in just about every time anyway just keep the battery charged up while I drive. Plus I don’t like having my phone in my pocket anyway so wireless CarPlay wasn’t that big an advantage for me.

Yea, the sales guy went over all the electronics with me including how to get that crazy computer to do all the different things. I had forgot just about all of it by the time I got home. getting a little better now. At least I can find how to turn on the radio.
