My 2006 Tacoma

I'm new to all this Forum stuff but what I read I have liked. I just purchased a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4 door TRD. Mostly stock except the previous owner put a TRD cold air intake on it and cat back exhaust. Love the deep sound of it when I gun it. I am really wanted to put some new rims and tires on it but I have read from some of you and other websites that I am limited with the size of tires because of the clearance. So I am looking into a Leveling kit or a 3 inch lift. I plan to take it off road some but the majority of the time I am going to be driving it back and forth to work which is all freeway. I really don't want to get a rough ride either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
