Had this extra HP Proliant ML350p Gen 8 Server laying around the office, so I made it into a chess computer for giggles...

    Entry Processors: Intel® Xeon® E5-2609 (2.40GHz/4-core/10MB/6.4GT-s QPI/80W) x2 (8 core)

    Processors: Intel® Xeon® E5-2690 (2.90GHz/4-core/20MB/8.0GT-s QPI/135W, DDR3-1600, HT, Turbo2) x3 (12 core)

    Cache Memory: 20MB (1 x 20MB) Level 3 cache

    Chipset: Intel® C600 (Intel® E5-2600 Processor Family)

    Memory: 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600MHz RDIMM

Hardrives: OS-Hot Plug LFF 1TB SATA SSD x3(RAID)
    Data-Hot Plug LFF 1TB SATA SSD x4(RAID)

    OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2013

Chess GUI: Fritz 12.0 (w/opening books and endgame databases)

    Chess Engine(s) (ICU):

    Stockfish 8 64 bit*
    Houdini 5 64 bit
    Komodo 10.2 64 bit
    Deep Shredder 13 64 bit
    Gull 3 64 bit
    Fritz 15 64 bit
    Rybka 4.1 64 bit

    ELO: 3600+ @ 7500+ kN/sec (*Stockfish 8 with all 12 cores running @ 100%)

This thing will beat 99.9999% of all chess players on the planet. This thing is 800 points higher than deep Blue, who defeated Kasparov in 1996.

    Heres the front...

    Here it is crunching away...

Its name? Worthy of prolly the only man that might have a chance to beat it!

All 12 cores running @ 100%...this thing is a space heater!!

This thing is a number crunching monster!! Running 12 cores (circled in red), running an amazing 6300+ kN/s (Thats over 6 million moves per second!), and at a hard ply depth of 25 (50 moves ahead) in only1 minute and 44 seconds!!

    Its awesome... :)

Um, no offense, but Waitzkin isnt even in the top 1000 chess players in the world. In fact, hes sorta a has been. I believe he dosnt even hold a current rating anymore. Sorry.

Analise games, measure yourself, bet everyone in the office, if they can beat it...lunch. But mostly, just watch it crunch. The damn thing has a variable (loud) cooling fan...it gives me a chub to hear that thing spin up, and put out 120 degree heat out the back.

    And been known...Im a geek. :)
