My Digital Inclinometer

I've got some ideas for mounting something like this. Is it all self-contained? By this I mean you just have to supply power to it?

The screen in the image is a .96" screen. It's fairly small but it's one I had laying around to test on. The first video is showing an even smaller screen. I've got a 2.7" screen on the way to test with too though. Would you guys be more interested in a square or a rectangle screen? Any additional features or functions?

 

What more could you add?

 

Off the top of my head, compass, read off the altimeter, other displays such as just a numerical angle readout, maybe a needle and gauge type. Not really sure just thinking about things at this point.

EDIT: I don't know if I would include this in but I wanted to make a GPS tracker at one point. I've always used apps but I though it would be nice to have a device that would always be logging for when i'm wheeling and i could just grab the map readout or something via bluetooth or SD card

 

If you can make it a rectangle like 2"x3" or so and also display the stock overhead compass & temp readout we'll be on to something...

 

Hmm. I may need to go up to Levi's(@Robertocritser) for a weekend and test around. My 1st gen doesn't have any of that fancy shenanigans

EDIT: I'm having a hard time finding a 3x2" oled. I want to stick with oled for their crisp display and contrast and their low power draw. The closest I'm finding is a 3.2x.81".
Oh wait, the one I ordered already is 2.7x1.8".
Craig, what benefit would be from it reading from those sensors?

 

If you can make it pick up the stock Digital readouts from the Center console overhead display by tapping into the existing feed and electrical that's up there I know how I could make a housing for it. 2.7x1.8 should be fine.

 

Also, not sure if this really matters but it would be nice if the display matched the stock Amber backlighting.

 

Basically, replace the Compass and temperature in the overhead with a single unit that has more goodies on it.

 

For first gens, what about replacing the clock with one of these? Or what about the passenger airbag switch? Just throwing out ideas.
