New and Need Advise

Hello, I am a new member, " Float V " ( Peter ). I am the proud owner of a Metallic Grey 2014 Tacoma TRD Sport 4 door, 4 x 4 ( 4.0 litre V6 ). I have been assured by my dealer all symptoms I am experiencing are normal ( odd to me ). They are that the engine sounds like a loud sewing machine or hard working 4 cyl. ( quite loud ) when the revs jump from 1500 to 2200 ish with little push to show for it. Also, when I turn the engine off, it makes a rather loud and odd sounding " creaking " noise. If all this is normal, then I will carry on, but seems quite bothersome. I owned a 5.7 litre Tundra for 8 yrs and realize the power is different but my wife's little 3.0 litre in her SUV is much quieter and stronger. I have driven other Tacomas and do not see the same symptoms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I look fwd to reading all the great threads on this site. Cheers

 

Welcome to TW!Doesn't sound right to me.I would take it to another Toyota dealer if possible and get another opinion.Your Tacoma is under factory warranty and you can take it to any dealer not just the one you purchased it from.Good luck!
