Just pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2013 DCLB TRD Sport 4 X 4. I have been cruising the forums for awhile, but did not want to make it official until the deal was done.

The forums were a big help, and I am looking forward to the experience, especially after driving one form or another of F250 Diesel 4 X4 over the last 11 years. I do a lot of beach driving and the F250, although a great beach truck was just too heavy even with larger than stock tires. I became an expert at not only getting myself unstuck, but as you can imagine, with that type of truck, unsticking many others as well.

I went with the Taco, because I have seen them in action on the beach, and they float like a water bug on the sand even with 4X4 stock tires and no lift, look good around town, and drive like a car compared to the F250.

    As for modifications:

The stock tires will need replacing.

I need some beefed up suspension/lift to allow for heavier than standard loads (ice weighs a lot when you are on the beach for a week+my passengers could stand to lose a few lbs)

A little black out here and there.

    A kayak/truck rack.

However, those will have to wait for a bit until after the honeymoon period and I will post some pictures when I have something other than stock. In the meantime, I will search ask some questions, find some answers, and enjoy the whole Taco experience.
