    Hello to all. My name is Harry. Just joined. Info. 68 and basically retired. I work for what I need and nothing more. Right now I am working to save up a down payment for a new, to me, truck. I plan to buy a Toyota Tacoma DCSB 4x4 TRD. Either a sport or an off road. Now I drive 99% of the time on the highway. However my wife an I are going to be taking some trips in the future so I might do some very mild off roading. So my thoughts lead me to the TRD Sport. I want to buy a Gen 2, 06 to 10 with less than 120,000 miles. There seems to be some out there and they are priced rather high. But I will be getting the best mid sized truck on the market. So I will find one. October to December is my time frame. I Plan on changing all the fluids, belts, hoses, brakes etc. Any info on what to look for and check would be welcome. Also I live in Florida so I need to find some Toyota gatherings so help with that is welcome also. Hope to meet you all in the future.

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    I'd suggest aiming for a '13-'15 if you can find the right combo you want. And for some small items I find the '13 to be the sweet spot.

    Hey guys. I just got my new too me Taco. 2007 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Prerunner. 153,085 miles at the time of purchase. Frame is rust free. Recall on the leaf springs though. Went to local Dealship and within 4 hours I have new Leaf Springs and all the hardware for mounting. This truck is clean, straight, no accidents. It has newer tires and Gear wheels. They look great so I should not have to get tires for another 40,000 miles. So if it is not broken don’t fix is in play. Getting WeatherTech floor mats Monday and a Tuesday I will be getting the front end aligned. Putting my stash aside for future needs. I am so happy to be back in a Toyota. Should have never gotten rid of my 82,98 or 06.
