I can't even begin to count how many vehicles I've owned in my 52 years, but this is my first Taco and I'm SUPER happy with it! For an IFS 4X4 this thing is pretty damn beastly! Sure, it has some issues I'm not super fond of. I'm not sure which Toyota engineer decided on the gearing, but they need to be punched in the face a couple times. They have probably the ONLY JBL stereo on earth that doesn't sound amazing, but other than that (and a couple other minor bugs) this truck rules!

My background

I am a 52 year old guy from Albuquerque New Mexico. I spent 20 years in the Army as a communications equipment technician (25U for those of you who have Army background), served 6 tours of duty in Iraq (x2), Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain and then retired (sort of) back in Albuquerque, where I now work at Sandia National Laboratories as a contractor. I have 2 ex wives and one kid from each, a 21 year old daughter and a 15 year old son.

My rig

I have a 2018 slate grey TRD OffRoad 4X4 Taco short bed. No lift yet, (Ironman suspensions SWEARS to me that the stage II kit I ordered back on April 1st is FINALLY on it's way. We'll see...). I'm running Toyo Open country 33's on Method 316 17" wheels. An EAG grille, aftermarket rear bumper (Not sure what brand), Tyger rock sliders, and I recently got into welding so my front bumper and a few of my modifications were built by me. I've got a Smittybuilt X2O 12,000 lb. winch up front and I've done some some of the interior trim pieces in red. I'm planning on getting some better looking aftermarket headlights, a ball-and-socket accessory mounting system for the dash, a CB radio, Ironman skid plates, a snorkle intake, and some sort of bed mounted drawer storage system (might actually build that myself).

Now lets see if I can attach some pics of my Taco.....Oh yea, Whoever you are that has the user name "Repentless" I'm super pissed that you got that before me, but horns up to you for being a fellow Slayer fan!
