    thanks for the welcome..while a long time Toyota and for last 20+ years Lexus, poster child... I'd never owned a pickup...so a year ago at age of 67, retired, to an NC mountain home i bought my first Tacoma, an SR5 2001, 160K mi small 4cyl. it was and is a sewing machine! Love it, but Boone, NC mountains do not. So I'll be selling that in favor of a 2012 large 4cyl, i found in Richmond, and hopefully will better balance Economy and mountain driving...maybe my imagination...I happened on this community while shopping for a white tonneau for the 2012...Hope it will be entertaining and helpful...
    by the way... did Toyota put "lifts" and huge tires on newer Tacos just to cause we old people to buy step ladders??? :)
