    Hey all,

New member to taco world after hawking the forum for the last few months. Picked up my 2007 about a year ago with 160k on the ticker, frame replaced under TSB not a month later, and am finally getting around to making it my own. Hopefully I can take this thing to 500k with a little love here and there Previous owner did quite a bit to it including a small lift/level with spacers, tires and wheels, led tail lights, grill, radar detector, omegalink... I'm probably forgetting some things but long story short this dude cared about the truck.

First things first I just moved to North West Jersey so I'm going to be upgrading the suspension to a Bilstein 5100 setup so I can take her over to rausch creek in PA and have a little fun. I think the current suspension is still stock, and after 175k so far... You can definitely feel it.

Anyways, I look forward to recieving, and contributing to, the massive amount of knowledge contained on this site.

    Cheers!

    Welcome.

So you are aware of frame rust issues.

You need to protect the new frame.

Fluid Film is a fav of folks around here. Treat the frame inside and out, before winter. Or you may not make your 500k goal.

Oh absolutely. I moved from Maine so I am intimately familiar with rust... The trick is going to be finding a reputable shop down here to apply it. Back in Maine I had a 6 car garage to do all my maintainance in, but unfortunately I'm stuck in an apt for the time being down here. I'm always keeping an eye out for a storage facility/garage to rent out so I can set up a workshop for both this and the storage our '65 Stang, but no luck yet.
