Just wanted to say hey to everyone. just got a 2005 tacoma TRD Sport V6 4.0L. put an icon suspension kit, nitto trail grappler tires, and a westin bull bar. Light bar and pods soon to be added. Wanting to get a new air intake, but can't decide what i should get, i was thinking K&N but can't decide. Ive had a K&N on my 02 F150 and loved it but I've seen threads here suggesting TRD intake, aFe, or K&N but can't decide... any thoughts? thanks.

Also, be sure to check into your home state/city specific thread. Probably a few members within a few miles of you.

As far as the cai..I won't speak for the general consensus but unless you have a supercharger, all they add is noise.
I believe the factory intake actually pulls colder air in than an actual "cold air intake" which draws warm air from under the hood.

i would stick with the stock but today after mudding i did a once over and pulled a handful of mud out of the intake. it didn't get all the through the filter but made me re-think the stock intake. unless someone has suggestions on how to keep mud and water out. (was thinking of a mess wire to put over the port maybe)
