New window

I just bought a 2007 Tacoma from my brother. It has a Leer 180 style cap on it, and I just broke the passenger side sliding window Can anyone that has a setup like this inform me of where I can get a replacement window. Leer won't answer my emails, and the dealers are having the same problem. Maybe someone out there knows of an after market place I can get a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that window would have to be used on a variety of models spanning a few years

no doubt there is 1 sitting in a corner drawing dust

leer + dealers are reluctant to go on a snipe hunt

check the salvage/junk yards

Definitely try calling but before you do try to find any information placard that may be present; ARE for example puts a riveted plate usually in the top near the back left side. Even if you do have this information get basic measurements. There are a variety of windows used in these tops, depending on what type of slider it is, windoor, screens or no screens, etc. It can be pretty maddening and be prepared to be shocked if they actually quote you a price.

If it's just a flat piece of glass you may be able to get a local glass place to get you a piece otherwise you may have to try one of the window suppliers but a lot of them won't sell to the public- yep, it can be a huge PITA getting the window replaced.

I know my dad needed custom glass for his hot rod. If it is flat there are a lot of commercial auto glass places that will make it. I was surprised how inexpensive. Likely your camper window is tempered. The shop cut it then sends it to get tempered. A door window for his car was only about 100 bucks. This was in Phoenix az
