Newbie Question

Hey guys im pretty new to TW and I just had a couple questions about burning oil, So ive had my tacoma for about 3 weeks (2006 V6 4x4 Dbl Cab TRD) it has 97,000 miles on it and ive put about 1,300 on it sense i got it. When i got it, it had seemed the oil had just been changed and was full from the dealership. Ive burnt almost a quart of oil in the 1,300 miles. Ive never owned a toyota so i have no idea if thats normal for the amount of miles or if depends on the driving? I don't have any sort of oil leaks that i know of. Can someone please inform me!! I'm not sure of your problem but my 2005 doesn't burn any oil and I have 143,000 miles.

Did it come with any kind of power train warranty? Even 30 days?

 

Yeah I got a 30 day, 3000 mile warranty

 

You might want to act on that, pronto (even though the dealer will go out of their way to screw you)

 

Not normal.
95k here, burns none.

Wife's '04 Rav4 has about 140k on it and it might burn a quart in 6000.

In the 2 years that I have been on this site I have never heard of something like this before. If it was a Honda then I would say it's normal(leaking), but not a Toyota.
