Hey guys, haven't been here in awhile. Has there been any talk about when Toyota is going to come out with the next generation Tacoma? I don't want to go out and get a '10 model to have a new style come out the next year. Thanks!

If you like the 2010- Who cares of the new model comes out next year?? Newer does not always equate to better.

I think the next model revision was like 2012 or 13 last time it got talked about...

Even if the next gen came out next year I would not buy it.....give them 1-2 years to work out the kinks............the 2010 will hold its value well enough.......................

Considering the 1st gen trucks lasted from 95-04, you can bet the 2nd gen trucks will last up to 2014. And at that point, it would probably be due for a major makeover.

The body style, frame, & driveline will probably stay the same while exterior appearances & interior goodies can change up to that point.

Just a guess based on the 1st gen....

Well the newly 'redesigned' 4runner has the same basic bodystyle/frame/driveline with a renovated exterior and new interior looks/goodies :p

Too right. Buy a 2010 - they would have been making the 2nd gen for 5 yrs by then, so they'll be even more perfect!

Good point, I just hope we get the dual vvt-i version of the 4.0 engine before that.
