    Hey all,
Just wrapping up my dana60 and Ford 10.5 axle swap and I no longer have a functional speedometer. I have read that on my automatic truck the vehicle speed is obtained from one of the abs sensors? Has anyone found a way around this to get vehicle speed from somewhere else? Here's my truck so farIMG_20240608_191913_136.jpg

Sorry I'm not much help on the brakes.
How much did this stretch your wheel base?

There are a couple of write-ups out there on how to wire in the speedo sensor to the factory transfer case, but I don't have any links to it at the moment.

Always nice to see other SAS Tacomas out there

I did manage to find that write-up! It is very detailed, but my abs module is different than that one. My truck is a 2009 automatic trd offroad with factory diff lock. Looking at the abs module plug, the wiring is much different. Any idea where I can get the pinout for my abs plug?

The Vehicle Speed Signal wire from the Skid Control ECU (S1 Pin 12) to the Combination Meter (C9 Pin 6) is Red/Yellow.

    You're a life saver!
Does this "reverse" mean reverse polarity? So in this case when the signal goes low, the brake indicator lamp turns on, and when 12v is present, the lamp turns off?

It pretty much means the logic for the indicator light is inverted, normally a module grounds the circuit to turn a indicator/warning light on.

The ones that have reverse by them the module grounds the circuit to turn the light off.

This is essentially done so that if the module responsible for turning the light on is offline or disconnected the warning light will still illuminate.

If your truck has the speed sensor port on the transfer case, I believe you can go that way too.
Somewhere, on this site, there is a post where a guy made this work. I don’t remember much about it.
But I crawled under my truck just to see if I had the port. And mine does. It’s rummered later model truck didn’t have it.
    But I don’t know?

Anyways, I’ll see if I can find the post tomorrow.
If you buy the speed sensor for the transmission, you can wire to the cluster best I remember?IMG_3924.jpg

I do have the port, I haven't looked inside to see if I have a worm gear or not though

Is the 2009 wiring diagram the same as a 14? Trying to get my speedometer from a vss out of the transfer case to work. Can anyone confirm wiring of the vss also?

No it's different, I have not seen anyone have success getting the speedometer to work without the ABS being functional on 12+ trucks because the Combination Meter has to see the vehicle speed signal on the CAN Bus as well as the SP1 terminal for the speedometer to function.

I've heard people getting the speedometer to work on the 3rd gen. This is a huge bummer.
