Hello I'm Ryan, 23, and I just purchased my first Tacoma. Tacoma's have been running in the family all of my life and I've forever wanted one ever since I can remember. Bought an 07 Access Cab TRD Off Road. It's got a new sound system I've just installed as well as the rear diff lock. I have a fever for taking this guy off road. Been watching some of the Tacoma World Meet Up's posted on youtube and I'm ready to join. First up, to get a lift on it. The local shop that my family has been going to recommends putting a Traxda 3" suspension kit or a Fox 6" kit. I know nothing about suspension kits so if anybody has any advice I'd love to hear it. Remember, I'm a noob so use noob terms please. End all I'd like my truck to look a little something like this:

I also plan on hitting the trails pretty hard. The full bumper replacements with skid plates and all the under carriage protection I really dig. I dont want to damage my fenders so if anyone has any suggestions on lift size/tire size where I dont lose a whole lot of fuel mileage/comfort/fenders please reply with a good rig setup! Also I'm not trying to break the bank.. Looking to spend a max of 5k on lift, tires and front bumper replacement.

Well I just bought the truck a few days ago so I haven't used it yet. My fiance and I go to Colorado (Taylor Lake) every year and we always rent ATV up there to take the trails on. This year, I'd like to test out my truck with a new lift and the 4x4 on the same trails. Trails are moderate with some pretty good rocky patches as well as a few streams (probably a foot or so deep)

I wouldn't recommend 6 inch, you loose ground clearance with that versus doing 3" with coilovers. I've got ICON coilovers and UCAS and in the rear I go ALL PRO expo pack since I tow and I love the ride, little firm. What size tires do you want and look and Pelfreybilt bumper. That's what I got and awesome people and quality
