Nord tailgate inserts

I am new to this website, but have been a huge overlander for years, now i am matching my hobby with a little side quest!

I just started my own company recently making Tailgate inserts for a variety of models. Here a few details!

Made from tough, FDA-approved 3/8 inch plastic, the NORD tailgate insert is built to withstand the elements. It features UV inhibitors to protect against sun damage, so it stays looking great no matter the conditions. Plus, it’s food-safe, making it perfect for prepping or serving snacks and meals.

Soon we will offer the 4th gen tacoma as well. Currently we have the 3rd gen tacoma available.

Hey man, it does get slippery when it is wet. However, it is definitely manageable and has enough grip to not fall.

Do these install over top of the existing plate or replace the existing plate?

 

The old tailgate insert will need to be taken off. The fitment however is the same. It fits perfectly.

What is it for and why would I replace mine with a smooth one like that ? Looks? Genuinely not sure what the reason is.

Hey there! I use mine a ton for filleting fish after a fishing trip. Cooking on camping trips and also sometimes for construction purposes. and you will never spill a beer again on your tailgating events

Wonder how much more expensive these will become with the tariffs once shipped to USA

May not be competitive anymore with the USA made tailgate panels

 

I'll admit, I didn't see many reasons to install your multi-thousand-dollar keyboard into your tailgate; but that didn't mean I wasn't disappointed when thats not what this thread was
(For those who are confused; "Nord" is the TRD Pro of 'good' keyboards.)

 

Very true comment, we are currently not shipping to the states, i did not realize that this page is mostly for the american folks. However we do plan on shipping to the states by mid summer.

All I'm saying is if we rolled up to camp, got a fire going, ate like kings, and then bro drops his tailgate to play me angelic noises from the Nord, I MIGHT would sleep in his tent..

Looks like they wont ship to the USA...damn tariffs are killing me...can't buy hockey sticks and now can't buy taco parts.

They look nice though

 

We are working on a solution to be able to ship to the states. But yes, the tariffs throw a wrench into our plans for sure.

 

For me, it was about knee pain when crawling into the bed. A flat surface is a bit better.

Similarly, it is just a bit nicer to sit on.
