Oro-Tek TPMS Sensors

Hey guys, I know TPMS sensors seem to be something of sorcery, but I just had Oro-Tek TPMS sensors installed at the dealership. Dealership said they installed fine, nothing unusual so that was a plus. No word on longevity yet, but based on price (less than 30 bucks per sensor) I highly recommend as these are ~$20 less per sensor than OEM. The only downside I would say is both tire shops I took it to said they couldn't program it, but the dealership had no problem.

Wait so CARiD shipped them with them installed in your wheel and tire set and the tire store can't get them to sync?

 

Worst. CarID installed them, balance and inflated with NO2 the wheels/tires and they are not compatible with Tacos. They are refunding it all but I need to go to a Toyota dealer and have the, install true OEM etc.

I own the TPMS tool, but none of the ORO-TEK sensors appear to work with gen 3 tacos yet according to a tech. I was able to read the sensors and program the ecu, just the sensors can’t talk to the ecu, so wondered if your guy got them to work?

 

Mine are installed on a 2016 4Runner so I don't know if the fact that you have a 3rd Gen Taco is the reason it's not working.

When I took my 4Runner to the Toyota Dealership they programmed them without issue.
