    It has what I need and want inside so no complaints here. Bluetooth and navigation is all I need. Everything else I’m ok with.

    When I test drove the Ranger last month, the interior was a step below the Tacoma. But the Ranger had Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, headroom and seat height adjustment.

    Never seen anyone complain that the interior is outdated. Most praise it over the competition.

    For me personally, headroom non issue, I hookup my bluetooth and go works fine for me. But if those things are an issue with a person I can see the appeal. Myself and close friends and family have had some real terrible experience with Fords ( Im sure someone will say the same with Toyota) I hope you have good luck with the Ranger when you do buy

    Old =\= bad.
    New =\= better, either.

    Personally the “tablet” style display looks tacky to me, ever since seeing it in my sisters mazda I thought it looked dumb.

    It’s one thing for people to complain about the driveline of a truck when you could / should test drive. But the interior? You can go stare at that shit all day at the dealership and decide to like it or not.

    So Switching to 4wd when attempting to adjust the AC controls, fits into your "blind purposeful user interface"? I love my Tacoma, but you need to relax on the koolaid, Mr Motortrend

    I’m as happy as a pig in warm mud with my interior, but my last Toyota truck was an 84 so it’s like going from a biplane to the space shuttle.

    I had a 2014 GMC SIERRA SLT, had almost all the bells and whistles. I miss two things auto headlights and the heated steering wheel. When I bought it I thought heated steering wheel, who the fuck would use that. Then I did one cold afternoon leaving work, holyshit, it was enlightening, almost never used the heated seats but that steering wheel saw regular use. The rest of the interior is on par or better than other trucks I looked at.

    Dat a truck interior or a Ford Focus?

    I love the interior on the Tacoma. I hesitated upgrading from the Gen1 over the years because I very much dislike all the gadgets on "trucks" nowdays. But this one I can live with. Reasonably "sophisticated" for a modern vehicle, yet still says "truck" to me. And unlike the Ranger, ZR2, etc., won't rattle and squeak ya to death. Yeah, I know, there's a couple known "problem areas" that have been identified time and again and are easily correctable. Haven't come across it on mine yet, but if I do, I'll know where to look.

    I use uber a lot. Not too hard to tell the difference between the "hi-tech" shitty gadgetry of the Fords, Chevies, Dodges, etc., and the sound and well though out (materials and layout) interiors of the Japanese vehicles.

    My idea of the near perfect interior..... :D

    We live in AZ, no adjustment needed, either full blast or off. :rofl:

    But honestly that is a pretty dumb spot for it, my wife has put the truck in 4hi a few times because of it.

    Exactly, a lot of us have. That's why I was calling him out for his koolaid post haha. But yes, full blast! Although I was working in Flagstaff last month and mornings were regularly 15*

    My 2018 Tacoma replaces my 1960 F100 4wd which didn’t come with a radio! It’s all relative I suppose.

    They exist I’m sure but in my area there are 3 dealers, all with very limited Off-road stock and not a single one we looked at had heated seats. I’m not sure what package they come on and don’t really know what the package mine came with but I did get the factory steps, bed mat, all weather floor liners, door still protectors, paint protection film in several places, navigation and I don’t know what all else. My Chevy didn’t come with any of this stuff so it’s all a trade off. I’m going to put seat covers in it and will add heat then.
