Hi, I just replaced my 2013 PreRunner output shaft seal twice and it is still leaking.

I noticed that the driveshaft has a little amount of play where it connects to the transmission extension housing, is it normal?

Any thoughts on what can be causing the seal to keep leaking?

Also noticed a little scratch on the housing

    Can this be the reason?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Check to see if there are any breather lines on the trans that are plugged up. your output shaft area doesnt look like its scratched enough to leak that bad, so maybe its a pressure build up as the trans heats up. if the breather is clogged the pressure has to go somewhere- so it will blow out the seal.
