    Hey,

I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road that I have had for only a few months. For the life of me I can't figure out if I have an outside temperature display on my central screen or anywhere else in the truck.

I've checked Youtube, and the owners manual and I haven't found out if I have this feature.

I know I'm pretty tech stupid so I think I need a little help.

    :annoyed:

If it is like the 06's it should be in the overhead console by the sunglass holder. It was common for them to go bad from a solder connection. Easy fix can be found on Youtube.

@RJP869 this is the guy that sells the mirrors you will need to run a wire to your engine compartment to get the temp to work though

Yeah, just checked, no mirror or overhead console temp display.

Looks like I'm SOL on that little convenience. :(

Toyota eliminated it on the 2015's (at least the US models)

One of the few things I don't like about my 2015...

It is an easy DIY upgrade. Took me 5 minutes to install the new mirror and 20 minutes to run the temp probe wire to the front of the radiator.

I hate that they eliminated it, my 2014 doesn't have it either. I can't understand how my Toyota products from 2004 and 2005 have better amenities than my 2014. The other absolutely stupid elimination which couldn't have saved $1 in production was the driver side window auto-up.

Unchained is right. Your truck did not come with one like mine did not unfortunatly. The only temp display is in the head unit. I bought one from the same guy on e-bay and it is perfect. I installed it myself. Not too hard to do and he gives good instruction. He has a couple posts on Tacoma world also.
Your truck should be pre wired just plug it in and run the probe thru the firewall to the grill hole made for it.

That doesn't say anything about temperature, just homelink and compass.

I bought this one for half the cost of the “plug and play” option. You only have to splice two wires from the factory harness that’s in the overhead console and then run the temp sensor leads. It might take an extra 2 minutes over the plug and play option but It’s super easy. To me it was worth saving $100 if I only had to splice two wires. It works great and looks OEM.
