I got a p0328 code today which shows a faulty knock sensor. I've searched for pictures of the location of the sensor and wiring harness in the 3rd generation forum. I cant find any evidence of mice in the engine compartment and under the plastic engine cover. There's a nice write up for this but its for the second generation. Any suggestions for links to pictures or diagrams for the 3.5L v6. Thanks for any help.

thanks for the info. now that I know where they are, it will be easier to figure out the difficulty involved to inspect and diagnose. It seems the intake manifold has to come off. My 68 VW bug sure was a lot easier to work on.

I hear ya. First engine I rebuilt when I was a young punk was in my 1972 Super Beetle. Good times.
