As far as being jealous of the Yankees, LOL. I always love the "how many championships do you have" argument in any sport. Usually just makes the person sound like a douche plunger. All I care about is the current season. What my team, or any other team for that matter has done in the past is irrelevant. Especially when it's not like most of these people were actually alive to see the majority of those championships.

I still have friends who are Giants fans bragging to me about their Super Bowl win, that was what, 3 years ago? Come on, you get bragging rights for a year.

I'm thoroughly enjoying hearing all the Yankees fans complaining now because they're all butt hurt, even the media and team itself. Funny being the hated team for once.

As a Mariners and Cardinals fan, I was very happy with this move.

I'm glad the Rangers (division rival) did not get him. I'm glad the Yankees did not get him. It makes the road to the World Series a little tougher for my Redbirds, but whatever.

As for the love/hate the Yankees thing, I've chosen to be passively indifferent. If I were a Yankees fan, I would probably be seething that Red Sox fans have surpassed us as most annoying in the Majors.

Although, true Red Sox fans (and for that matter, true Yankees fans) are tolerable on their own. It's the stupid amounts of people that live in the Seattle suburbs who usually wear Mariners gear until the Sawks or Yanks come to town, then dust off their jersey for a series. I've even seen people wear pinstripes one weekend and then an Ortiz jersey the next!
