So, I bought everything to paint my wheels black, but after cleaning the first wheel I quickly realized the playing cards didn't slip in between the tire and the rim like I have seen with others. And painter't tape didn't stick at all on the tire, so I ended up just cleaning them really well and washing the truck.

I'm running 265/75 on the 16" OR alloy - do I need to air down or something to make it work? I need a tirck to either make the card technique work or figure out how to tape off my tires.

Air tires down flat, then push down sidewall and insert cards.

x2, air down the tires and you should be able to slip in either playing cards or index cards.
