POD brackets

seems like everyone wants to mount a 30" or 32" light bar in the lower grill.
I want to mount 2 pods for fog lights in that space, and I can't find a pic or a description on how to mount them. Do people just drill into the aluminum crash bar? It seems to thick to run a bolt all the way through it....
I have the 3" cube lights with amber covers already, relay, wiring, switch...blah, blah, blah....lol
just looking for some info on how people have mounted PODS.

If you want to adjust the fog pods you may want to look at premade brackets from caliraised or a company like that.
I just used some metal to fab up pods using the oem bracket holes.

 

Exactly..ty. could I get a pic of where/what holes you used?

 

I can't take a pic without removing my foglight.
If you look at the empty foglight hole
You will see a hole to mount oem fogs.
That is what you can use to mount pods.
Or buy a bracket from cbi caliraised whoever sells them..

My windshield light bar bracket from them came with defects...no response from company...now 1yr later they both are rusting. $100 for brackets that rust out within a year !

I think u could just mount them to the aluminum bumper tube, best bet would be to drill and tap into it, but it's aluminum so be easy tightening the bolts and use loctight. Should work fine.

 

I ended up using Angle iron.
Check out some of the 30-32" light bar in lower valence install threads... and you will get a good idea on what to do for your needs..

Lots of members self tap into crash bars..
Others feel it will come out over time and to use angle iron.

 

As far as a promise to recommend your product... i said...

other than the one blemish on bracket I would be happy to recommend these on tacomaworld.

Been looking for the same thing. Best solution I’ve found so far is to use a lower valence led bar mount for the outer pod mounts and fab some inner pods mounts.
