    Good point. I lived in Puerto Rico for a year and the roads are like that. Not to mention the gobs of traffic on the island that would make a 75 mph speed limit next to impossible.

    Waaaaa, highway speeds are more than 70mpg in some states....my whole life has been a lie; a boring lie. I need to move right now to texas.

    The new ones are pretty accurate. Plus iirc a few lawsuits poped up about inflated numbers so the cluster numbers are now pretty accurate

    My M3 gets along quite well with 85 mph speed limits. When the speed limit is 85, the cruising speed is typically 100 mph. Gun it at 100 mph and you chicken out before it even begins to think about slowing down. A V8 at 8,300 rpm is simply a thing of beauty.

    75 is the norm on large highways not inner city though and on the 130 highway its 85

    For those actually staying with the theme of the thread, I would appreciate info on the truck config (ie, 2wd/4wd, I4/V6, etc.). Also, city MPG is about useless. It would be great if someone can report just strictly highway miles. (Although that may be some time off in the future, since the break in instructions explicitly state no prolonged highway usage for 1k miles).

    I found the trip meter. There is still a little stick botton on the dash to go between odo/trip1/trip2. Just filled up and tank and I am going to compare it to the average tank MPG. My pics are 2wd.

    Really?! Gas is 1.93/gal. Who cares? I average 14. Burn more. Add a supercharger like me and then you can burn more. Did you really buy a Tacoma and consider gas mileage in the equation? No. You bought a truck that would take you where you wanted to go.

    A Tacoma is not the kind of "truck" where it requires an MPG compromise.

    Sounds like you need a wake up call son.
    Glad to see you have disposable income for all the gas you care to suck up.
    Most everyone else has better ises for their money. I agree GTFO
