is it worth the 2k for this package? I like the anemenities but could live without them unless the projectors headlights are that awesome. Any one regret getting it/ not getting it?

I would regret not getting it, but it's very subjective.

I mean you get heated seats, a moon roof, separate temp control, etc..

I have it, really wanted the sunroof, BSM, and heated seats. I'd actually prefer manual climate control, and the parking sensors are no biggie imo, I guess the have some slight value, if I go blind I guess I can back up? Why don't they just put them all around the vehicle and let blind people drive? What else does it add, am I missing anything?

The BSM is useless to me, but the cross traffic alert has been great. Many times as i'm reversing, some jack ass comes speeding down perpendicular to me, and the cross traffic alert will beep before I can even notice.

Ah, I do like the rear cross traffic alert, it's saved me a few times. But so has the BSM, although I find it seemed to work better in my Avalon. Maybe something to do with the truck being high up.

Are you looking at an AC or DC?

The sunroof is really the biggest difference / gamechanger. I think it would be harder to justify the package on an AC, since you don't get a roof option. For me, the sunroof was my main want in the truck, outside of the manual transmission, so I checked the boxes I had to check to get it. The seat heaters are really nice on cold mornings since they heat up quickly. The CC, BSM and backup sensors I could take or leave, but that's personal preference.

There's no difference in the head lamps between the tech / non-tech. SR5 and up have the same units, the SR have all-clear units.

If it's your daily driver, worth it.

All the lights are projectors. Sr5 and up just have black housing. Honestly if you can swing the extra cash it's worth it. I wish I had the tech package

I love it and glad I opted for it since it's my daily and I plan to keep the truck for the long time.

Coming from a 10 year old car that has sunroof, dual zone, and heated seats it would be a step down in a 2016.

The BSM is cool, but one of the biggest was also the color matched rear bumper for me. I hated the chrome look

For the TRDOR the tech package has all the "tech" goodies PLUS Color matched rear bumper inserts. A lot of dudes are after those to get rid of the nasty chrome ones.

At the time, I didn't want to pay extra for the Premium and Tech package, but I wouldn't have it any other way now.

Picture for your viewing pleasure :) lol

BSM is a nice feature since I have a shell on my truck. It is always tough to tell if there is someone in the blind spot with a shell on a truck when wanting to change lanes to the right.

Wow, I must be the only one who didn't get premium. I wanted the JBL, but couldn't get it at the time in early 2016. I have been in some Tacomas since then, and I am happy without the tech package as I would never use most of it.

I wish I had jbl in my tech package truck. Also, why, when we have back up cameras would they only put sensors in the rear? I like cross traffic alert a lot. But would like to know how close my front bumper is to the stuff in my garage. It's nice stuff, but other than the moonroof, it's just a bunch of stuff that will break down in the future. So could live without it

Just one thing... If you are tall (like over 6'1") sit in one with a moon roof.

I am 6'1" 225 and I have like an inch or so over my head. I know it has a lot to do how you place your back but I would look into it.

Other than that I'm glad I got it. The dealer gave me a new SR5 DC w/o one for a loaner till mine came in. That roof height was the first thing I noticed.

I would LIKE BSM and RCT but I'll end up getting a steel bumper anyways so no point. Plus it's not an option in Canada :(

Worth is a subjective thing. Only you can decide whether it's worth your money. I held out for and waited to get my truck with Premium Tech & JBL. I'm entirely satisfied with that decision.

I know it's subjective that's why I want people's input. Y'all my advisors and I take your opinions into account. I was on the fence which is why I asked

It's difficult to advise if we have no sense of what things are important to you, how long you'll own the truck, or how impactful the extra money would be. Maybe start with your thoughts and your pro/con list of how you feel about getting or not getting the option.

I have a lot of cons although I have Never owned a truck. I had the bsm in my cx5 but the blind spots were nowhere near how it's going to be with a truck with a shell on. I plan on driving it into the ground. Pros are the amenities. Resale possibly. The cons are that I am buying an almost 40k truck with known issues. Don't want to kick myself for spending that much if it becomes problematic. Just on the fence. Seems most recommend it so I am leaning towards it now

I have the BSM and heated seats. Started to use the seats on the way to work in the morning (FL, 65f ... brrr ;)).

The cross traffic assist thing beeped at me today in the parking lot, so did it's job. I don't think I have JBL speakers? (I guess there is a badge on them if they are?)

I don't have the moonroof (didn't want and not an option regardless) but I've got the rest.

I had planned to buy a TRDOR with this package but took a different path. I'd want these in all my future vehicles. Love them
