Anyone with a prinsu rack?? Let me know the best sealant/caulk for mounting the Prinsu rack to the top of my truck! Going to be doing that this weekend.

I used bolts. They came with the rack and attach it to the factory mounting points.

Yeah I’m gonna use bolts too but I’ve seen where guys will put a sealant in the factory holes then mount it on top of that to help with moisture

Oh, for that you want just regular silicone sealant. You can pick one of several from Home Depot/Lowe’s.

Prinsu_Arial.jpg I used flexible clear stuff. Probably overkilled it. ha. A lil Hershey kiss size will do the job.

Awesome. Good looking truck man!! I got some 100% silicone for bath & kitchen. 30 min water ready, 10 year mold free protection and 100% waterproof. Should work!

It's like $3 a tube at Lowes, walmart, etc. Dont be stingy with it, but 1 tube could reasonably get a full rack install done. Buy 2 just to be sure. Held up on a few trucks I helped do the install for for several years now, no complaints or wet seat belts.

I saw in another thread to apply anti-seize on the bolts, as you're putting it together. Some have said their bolts have seized on them. I saw it too late, and am slowly going through and doing it, and it's awkward when all installed and mounted.
