Hello everyone, my name is John and I have a 2012 Tacoma ( silver ) no upgrades. I have had a few problems with my tacoma so far and would like to know if anybody had any as well. Engine pings really bad if i run 87 or 89 in it. I also had my transmission replaced once for a hard 4th gear shift in colder weather and now it shutters when shifting into 2nd 50% of the time. Please let me know if anyone else has had issues...... other then the issues, I love this truck.

They did do a ECU module update on it and it did nothing at all.

ARE front bumper, WARN wench, OME suspension, All-Pro Off-road leafsprings. Cobra CB, Volant Ram Air Induction, BFG Baja Series Tires,
Was the first to have the TSB performed at my dealership. Although there has been an improvement, the Taco will still ping with low grade octane. To this day I still run premium.
