That guy has a legitimate problem based on his experience with softopper.

You are just trolling with an opinion about something you don't own.

It's "problems with softopper", not "opinions about softopper."

I know you can tell the difference. But you pretend you don't because you're just here to fling shit. Go find an oil thread and stir shit there, that's where we go to have fun. Leave the troubleshooting threads alone.

so to clarify, unless you own something, you’re not qualified to have an opinion?

And based on your lack of hostility and experience in here, I would have expected you to know there’s an actual “tech” section specifically for covers, caps and shells. The third gen section is for general discussion :ohsnap:

To clarify, there are threads for opinionating, there are threads for troubleshooting, and there are threads for relaying customer experience.

    Go find the opinion thread.

And again, I know you know this.

People bashing soft toppers probably imagine that hard truck shells would offer a real upgrade in security. Not to experienced thieves, they don't.

Certainly you don’t subscribe to the thought process that a thief would find it just as easy to try and break a key lock latch on an all steel RLD (what I own) or RSI canopy, than spending 5 seconds unzipping a softopper? Because if you do, I’ve got some killer oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.

If you had the same sorts of experienced car thieves around U as I do, you would understand.
Softtoppers are just easier for the dumb ones to get into.
EDIT: that property affordable? California's pro criminal deal here is chapping my ass

As opposed to the “smart” ones who frequent wall mart parking lots…

I myself am interested in the softtopper. Every dummy knows a pocket knife will open up any cloth wall. What normies don't seem to understand, is that drug addicts are experienced and happy to smash expensive glass windows on hard shells.
Thieves around here actively scout for security cameras. because cartel members.

You don’t need a knife for a softopper, just two fingers to unzip it. My access doors on my canopy are steel.

My local thieves aren't that polite and caring. I have the footage of them using baseball bats.

Bumville, or some damned place. Our lazy/uncaring cops don't give even the first rip bout public "safety".
California desert is *now* a cartel hotspot, around here. judging partially by the MS13 graffiti and all the surveillance cams sprouting up everywhere. And the drug dealer next door. And the surenos wheeling around on little kid BMX bikes. And all their drug customers blocking my driveway.
If the cartel dudes would quit with all the illegal limousine tint, they'd be slightly harder to spot. "slightly"

I love my Softopper, the actual product that I had purchased before the Bestop buyout. There are benefits to having a Softopper vs. hard cap. Perception of security isn't one of them and wasn't a factor in my purchase. The topic of this thread is Softopper customer service. I'm here to say Softopper, the company, customer service presently sucks. Bad. Very Bad. I'd love to talk about my actual Softopper in a different thread. I would sing the praises of it.
