I'm reaching out for some assistance. I bought a Prodigy brake controller with a direct fit wiring harness (2nd Gen). The white wire has an extra pigtail with an eyelet crimped on it. Does this extra pigtail need to be fastened somewhere, or should I tape it off? My previous brake controller (Voyager) was wired to the factory Toyota pigtail that comes in the glove box. It functioned without an extra pigtail. Thanks in advance TW.

The direct fit wiring states '06-'10. It plugged into the Toyota harness and the brake control with no issues. The extra wire was grounded near the hood release which is where another TW member suggested. I emailed e-trailer where I purchased it and suggested they move forward with testing it and update their vehicle application. (Mine is an '05 with the tow package). You should have no problems.
