I have a new 2012 Tacoma TRD Off Road Crew Cab Short bed. It is 100% stock and I want to get a Flowmaster 40 series muffler and a flowmaster tip, while keeping everthing else in the exaust stock. I was curious if someone could show me exaclty what size and build Flowmaster Muffler i would need to fit perfectly on my stock tacoma. thanks in advance.

If you are truly stuck on Chokemaster mufflers, you are going to want the 50 series SUV. Less in cab resonance and a not-quite-as-annoying-as-normal tone outside.

    ^^this...

Had a 50 suv on my 5.7 tundra, sounds pretty good. Not annoying inside at all.

will the 50 series muffler still have a powerful (louder than stock) tone outside?

Yes, it will be louder than stock. You will, of course, be losing power so just going for a "powerful tone" is an absolute waste of money.
