I use Entune via my iPhone 4, and my truck is a 2014 with JBL FWIW. It is able to play pandora through the app with all the functions like thumbs up/down, but it is working wirelessly. The service advisor said he was not aware that iPhones would work wirelessly. Is it suppose to work wirelessly or is there a glitch somewhere? If it is not suppose to work wirelessly then I know not to do any sort of updates, and risk losing that availability. :D

Hope this isn't one of those things that have been covered plenty of times, but I have done a few searches. I haven't found any threads mentioning it, but my search string could be wrong.

    Appreciate it ;)

Bluetooth right? I don't own a 2014 nor entune but even on the basic 2013 touchscreen you can play anything with sound on a phone over Bluetooth. I wouldn't put much credit in a dealer knowing 100% the full capabilities of the HU. At least I've never talked with any dealer that knew exactly how entune worked. They mostly just knew it was an app suite and that was where their knowledge stopped lol.

It should be working via bluetooth. When I turned my BT setting on at the dealership, it starting playing music directly from my phone. I don't have an Iphone, I have a android EVO 3D. But, I don't know why it would be different for an iphone. The entune website has alist of phones that work with the app, and it should say which phones will work completely or what functions will not work etc.

I'm not really talking about just playing whatever audio I have going (music on the phone, pandora, iheartradio, etc) through bluetooth. The advisor told me in order to have my stations, thumb options, etc for Pandora on the screen. I would have to have my iPhone hooked up via usb cable. Droids were not like that he said. However, my entune connects to my truck, and i have all the Pandora features on the screen while wireless.

My Pandora and Iheart radio play via the Bluetooth as well. So does the audio from youtube if I play a music video through my phone. Everything that my phone does via the radio goes through my BT, phone calls etc. In order for me to see the actual Pandora screen, I have to be using the Pandora button via BT and using the entune app. Otherwise the music comes through, but I don't get the screen option to thumb it up or down, or to skip etc. I don't believe that the iphone would have to have the cable. In fact, the reason you are getting it is because he's probably wrong.

Again, a quick search of the entune website will show exactly what you can expect from your phone with the entune app.

    Thank you.

That relieves my fear of accidentally updating, and losing the functions working wirelessly.
