    Just a few LEDs...
    Thanks :D I like it.

I have amber LED strips mounted on the grille facing toward the radiator. I suppose the same effect could be accomplished with something like trailer marker lights, but I wanted the installation to be stealthy. Besides, the LEDs draw almost no current and I simply spliced them into the parking light circuit.

Later, when I get time, I am going to hook these and the "eyebrow" lights up to a circuit that will also turn on with the dome light so I can turn them on and off with the factory alarm remote. The lights in the hood scoop will also follow a pre-selected "Knight Rider" scan pattern when I unlock the doors.

Thanks!! I plan on doing this Sat morning. I bought 4 of the Oznium bolt LEDs in white, but I think I'm only going to do 3. I'll post pics when done. If they are t bright enough for me I can always just get some of those double LEDs from superbrightleds.

I just bought the same bolt lights from oznium and man am I disappointed in the output. The build quality look great but they are so weak I'm not sure I want to waste the time installing them. I may just go to an eagle eye 6mm with a dual LED. Do you have any pictures of the light at night?

Really? I thought that they are perfect for the type of accent lights they are (in my case anyways). I edited my post above and included a pic to show how they look.

    It's not overly complicated.

You can run a separately fused and switched circuit if you really want to but I found it easier to just tap into the wires going to the parking lights.

I think it looks nice too but that's precisely why I went with my own style instead. :D

So after doing this mod, are you able to take off your grill without having to undo the wiring? How are you getting around that?

Just use some connectors. And leave a lil slack so you don't bugger the wiring up if you forget to disconnect when pulling the grille out.;)

Did you have to add a fuse for the led? Or does it not draw enough power to need one since you tapped into the marker light

I have many, many, MANY, LED strips tapped into the parking light circuit. They draw so little current that the existing fuse is large enough to handle the extra load. If anything were to short out, the wiring to the lighting circuit is still protected by the fuse so no worries. :)
