Hey there, i have a 2008 tacoma. ive had a volant intake for a while now and i've noticed a rattling sound coming from my dash. i checked the intake and everything is secured. I only notice the sound when im at higher rpms and the intake is really kicking in. I have no clue what the sound is.. wonder if anyone knew? and how to fix it?

You may need to isolate the location of the noise a little better. Maybe get a friend in the passenger seat to help diagnose it while driving around?

Last time i had a weird noise coming from the dash i figured it was coming from the blower motor area. Took everything out and drove around and still heard the noise. WTF?

Well it turns out a clip had worked its way loose on one of the inner rubber mud guards in the wheel well. lol Thankfully it was something silly and easy to fix, but damn it took awhile to figure it out. Best of luck though!

Maybe its your fairy god mother trying to tell you to slow it down?

Have you tried revving it sitting still? Have someone rev it for you while you put your head under the hood. Sounds like some kind of harmonic vibration?

Sounds like you think its the intake.... and it sounds to me like the intake. My stock one used to do it where it meets up with the fender.... always thought it was coming from my dash. Kinda a hollow rattle right?

The sound seems to be coming from the drivers side dash. i notice it most when im passing someone and the truck goes into 3rd. It gets louder as the intake gets louder. Its extremely hard to tell what it is. Im not sure if its something outside the truck and it only rattles around 100k/h or the intake is shaking something in the dash.
