OP I have Deez nuts on my EK and found the same rust when removing one lug nut. The light rust doesn’t affect the lug from moving freely on the stud. I would just mount them.

Im getting this expansion of the stockers too, and went to rotate my tires and had one spin on me. I was able to "peel" it with the info on this thread, thanks! However this is something that would be no fun to do on the trail or even the side of the road and I need to use 22mm on most of mine already so as an experiment I "peeled" 5 more of the worst ones that the 22 wouldn't fit on well anymore. It doesn't have the finished look, obviously, of the original and I am now using a 13/16 on it BUT at least I don't need to worry about them swelling up and spinning, the down side is i'm carrying 3 sizes of sockets 21, 22, 13/16. I punched a hole through the top from the inside on a vise then out spun them back on the rear hub, with no tire for easier access, and was able to peel them off with a ladyfinger and a worn out flat head screw driver. The trick is where the lip over the edge you have to crack that and then you've got it. took about a hour to do all six, but I think I will just buy the Gorillas or other aftermarket ones that won't swell up.
