Rear e-locker question

    what could be problem with locker if dash light keep blinking? 06 tacoma offroad. wanted know if there anything can look for could be problem. thanks

    Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
    No only in 4x4 low.

    dont have it on mine. and dont have owner manual. I tryed it in 4h guess that why never locked?

    That would be why. When in L4, and you fail to climb a grade or pass through a mud hole (or think it may be needed before getting stuck in either), stop and press the RR Locker button... the light blinks until it engages... try moving ahead and if still blinking turn your tires to the left OR right and roll ahead slowly. That usually will lock the rear (stop the light from blinking).

    If you have an '09 + Off Road 4WD, then just use the A-TRAC as that provides the traction of lockers on the back and front. There is some slipping with A-TRAC as it checks for traction, and that allows easy steering. As the sticker says, steering is difficult when using the locker since tires must rotate differently in a steer, and lockers do not allow any difference in tire rotation.
