That was all street pressure- 35PSI. I got into snow about twice as deep as when I took that pic and never had any tire spin. KM2's surprised me in the fresh powder. :)

Lost track many, many mods ago.
Followed this build early on but forgot about it. Last time I looked you were still on the KM1's and let me tell you, quite a transformation since then! Great rig man.

Thanks for the compliments! Appreciate it man! :)
No there isnt a build on her truck. We bought it most of how you see it. I'll be adding some more stuff(front bumper) and fixing some things(ex: sliders previous owner installed are 1.5" tube... straight to frame. Gonna pull em off and do 2" tube with gussets/frame plates.;)) I'll probably throw together a build thread on it once that stuff is done and we get going on replacing the crappy factory stereo with some nice Alpine stuff like in my truck. :)

    Thanks man! :)
I could definitely whip up a similar rack if someone is interested. I integrate it with the bed rail caps, and use the factory tie down rail mounting bolts to hold the entire thing in place.

Yeah it serves for protection pretty well. I use it for transporting 20' sticks of tube for sliders/bumpers/etc mainly though. It has saved my window a time or two too though.
Yeah the ones that stick up real high look really stupid IMO, so thats why mine is basically at roof height. No need to go taller. And those little upright pieces are supposed to keep things from sliding off the side of the headache rack, definitely dont need a 5" tall piece to do that, my 2" uprights are fine and look better.

I think the extra length is for guys who want to double as a roll bar or use it as a lumber rack (not sure if I have the right word there, but it's those things where there's a front bar and rear bar and you toss up lumber, pipes, ladders, etc).

Am I on track or did I completely read the question wrong?

From what I know about the process, its very time consuming, and fairly costly. I had a friend do them for me (member all.on.black)

You got it . The extra tall "horns" on the ends of the top crossmember are meant to keep the lumber from going sideways on the rack , but as Eric pointed out shorter ones will do the job if you secure what you are carrying correctly .:)
