When I'm not in & out of the mud, I'm in soft sand, or on the road. Saved up years of hard earned earnings towards a 4 door, 4x4, long bed, manual transmission Tacoma & the reality is that this is not an option from factory line. May go with the short bed for it's benefits on the road & far from the road. I'm a field technician that spends hours, weeks, & months out in the field. Prefer to sleep inside the security of a personal vehicle, especially because I have been criminalized while in my past vehicle. Owned a 5 speed manual awd Honda Element for 11 years, 5 foot cabin, before it was totaled by a full size truck bumper as it backed up into on a narrow street. My family friend is a Japanese car mechanic, who agrees the Tacoma is a great investment. I like to 2019 TRD Pro & add on packages, look good with a new pair a Carhartt boots. #Cashectomy

All the welcoming comments sure made my day, especially Taco critter's 'Mall Crawler Life' signature. The idea of 2019 TRD Pro & new pair of Carhartt boots was entirely sarcasm. Looking for a good deal on a Tacoma with an exterior & interior to match a recently resoled & oiled pair of weathered Red Wings I got free from volunteering. Got a invite by NPS volunteers with keys off Highway 166 in Cayuma Valley this weekend. A worker invited me & just received his Tacoma back with a factory refurbished engine & auto trans. He said get the manual transmission; a great Toyota mechanic sure helps; Enterprise Car Sales is a good idea. It's time to go go go!

Appreciate the congrats on the future rig. Labor Day is coming quick. The price on the 2019 TRD with Off-Road package just dropped $5,000. That's a new pair of boots, a truck gun, further upgrades, & a Specialized mountain bike with enough money left over towards a Toyota Rav4 manual transmission for my wife. Literally got laid off last week, last check sent, & rehired by the same company the week after. Found another full-time job in a week with a new company that may win me over. This week has been a very good one. Look forward to exploring the National Forest Roads in Ventura & Kern County & possibly Pismo for the first time in a while.

    Drive safely everyone!

Drove home in a 2017 manual 4 door Tacoma Sport last Wednesday & have it covered for the next six months on Wawanesa insurance. Odometer had 10,512 miles on it. I'm impressed with it. It's geared nicely. No complaints! Came with a first aid kit & Red Ledge weather proof jacket from the original owner under the back seat. It will need a cover to protect from UV degradation now that it's in California. Excited for a trip next weekend. Working Monday, Tuesday, & have a final interview scheduled for Wednesday. Look forward to browsing the forums & get to know the people of Tacoma World.

    Happy Independence Day!
