Sir, you need to spend a summer or two in Arizona. When you get off work and it's 118 degrees out (yes, literally) and your vehicle has been sitting there baking in the parking lot all day, you don't want to get in to turn on the AC, or roll down the windows. You don't want to get in at all. And you certainly don't want to stand outside waiting for it to cool down. My last Benz had stainless steel door lock pins, and I have scars on my arm from where I accidentally bumped the driver's door lock pin while reaching out my window to swipe my security card at the gate. In cold climates, you can always climb into your car with your parka, mucklucks, and gloves keeping you warm, but unless you want to get escorted off property, you can't start taking clothes off to get into your sweltering ride.

 

When it's 118 out and your car has been parked outside, it's significantly hotter inside the car. Even with a great AC system, you'd be surprised how long it can take to cool down the interior of a vehicle to where it's tolerable to drive.

 

In Arizona it's a dry heat. Here in the south the humidity is the real killer. I'll take a dry heat any day.

I'm in PA and use it every day except Sept, Oct, and April.

 

When it's 100-110 the dry heat is much nicer. Once you pass 110, it doesn't matter how dry it is, it's damn hot.

 

Dude, correct me if I’m wrong but remote start does not roll down your windows to vent hot air before starting your AC..Efficiency fail.. open windows and start AC. More efficient to warm a cold car than hot one with windows closed.

Lived in Jersey with 110 plus degree weather..yawn.. negative zero to 100 plus.

Yes, you can’t peel off your skin to get cool... You have burn scars? I suggest wearing baker’s mitts ,protective UVF sleeves, face shield and sun hat and if you’re that sensitive to heat.

I'm comparing your system now to the Compustar kit my local dealership offers.

 

Compustar's telematic (smart phone) add on is DroneMobile. Their basic plan per year costs $60/yr or $143 for 3 years, which is $20/yr and $43/per 3 years more than ours, AND YOU DON'T GET GPS tracking unless you bump up your plan from Basic to the Premium plan, which then gives you GPS for $120/yr or $287 for 3 years, which is $80/yr and $187/per 3 years more than ours...not to mention, thier trial/free period is ONLY 30 days. Ours is 1 year.
