Remote start enable?

New to Tacoma fora: can anyone help with enabling remote start, both fob and app?

Stunned there aren't steps in the owners manual!

 

The owner’s manual isn’t the greatest. True of most manuals these days.

 

That's really a shame. Seriously.

 

Not not that, but this wasn’t shown to me at the dealership when I bought my taco.

 

The salesperson that went with me when I test drove a 2024 didn't know either. He said it could only be done with the Toyota App.

 

The first sales guy I talked to in May claimed there wasn't a 14" screen.

 

Taking advantage of this topic, how long does the Tacoma stay on once you start it with the fob? I start it, and every time I come back, it's already turned off...

 

From the app it stays running for 10 minutes. I've always assumed it would be the same length of time when starting from the FOB.

 

How long do you want it to run?

 

Mine worked twice and now it does not, does work with the APP. on my phone. Any Ideas why is stop working with the key fob???

 

Push the lock button 4x, on the fourth push hold it until your lights blink 7x and the truck will start

my understanding is it will run for 10 mins only and haven’t seen any location for adjustment.

you can update your heater settings and stuff in the app depending on whether you’re heating or cooling

 

This has very strong up up down down left right left right vibes.
