I've used the search function but can't find any solid answers to my question, so I figured I would post a new one:

What roof rack/crossbar set up would you recommend for mounting a 150 pound RTT to a fiberglass shell? I know that almost any crossbar set up would work for highway driving, but the caveat here is that I do a lot of offroading in the Utah desert/Rockies and don't want to have a rack that isn't up to the task at hand (or at the very least, a lot of super rough, washboarded/rutted to hell roads).

Would a standard Rhino Rack crossbar set up get the job done, or do I need more robust set up like Prinsu?

    TIA

Any quality aftermarket crossbar will work (Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack). I saw the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform in person last weekend & was very impressed but you're just adding weight if you don't need additional mounting options (shovel, hi-lift, max trax, etc). I would make your purchase dependent on your track setup that's currently on the topper, just purchase within that brand to ensure compatibility.

Also, go buy bed stiffeners for sure.

I would be more worried about your shell than the rack. Is it reinforced at all and does it have weight ratings for a rack?

Yep, dynamic rating is 220, static is 600 so I'll be well beneath both.
