RPM range W/285’s

Just curious what is everyones rpm range dblcab 4.0l front and rear aftermarket bumpers with winch with 285/75/16’s mine runs just under 2000rpms at 70mph.

With 285/70r17s with a 2 inch lift/sliders/canopy I run about 2300 rpm at 70mph

OP looks like you have an Auto Trans (Manual trans dont have the same overdrive gear as autos). You are spot on with rpms and speed. Tire size wont change anything as far as rpms and indicated speed... you will however go faster with bigger tires at the same indicated speed.

I have been doing some data logging with my Bluedriver. This is a chart with my equations for Speed vs RPM. I did this before I swapped my 3:37 gears with 4:56. I had 285/75/16 on the truck before and after the swap. The equations are listed below and in the chart.

4:56 MPH = 36.81137136436220000000*RPM + 11.01156739541470000000
3:73 MPH = 29.93797062705400000000*RPM + 24.98046227090200000000

With our Tacos., don't know about others, Auto. W/OD will always run a few hundred less than the manual trans. W/OD. From what I'm finding a stock 2013 reg. cab 2.7, 4X4, Auto. W/OD, runs 1899 rpm @ 60 mph. The same Taco with MT W/ OD runs 2170 rpm. @ 60 mph. My Taco is straining just to hold its speed @ 1900 rpm. & 60 mph. Out on the Int. @ 75 mph. it's running appx. 2375 rpm & it holds up just fine. Why doesn't Toyota put the 4.56 rear gear in the Auto. Tacos? They would still be running appx. 50 rpm less than a MT, @ 60 mph., but up closer to the power range & shouldn't be straining as bad.
