Salt water

So I put a bit of salt in my water bottle. Anyways it leaked onto my cloth seats (2022)

Will it stain? How long do I have to remove it? And how can I remove it? thanks!

 

I live in Roch ny >> land of salt, when salt stains are on our floor carpet in the car, Yes it will surface stain, we use a rug cleaner, which will remove the stain. IF you catch it asap, just use a [liberal] amount water and a clean cloth or soft brush

 

I’m at work right now can’t clean it in another 8 hours.

 

Use vinegar mixed with water. It'll come out ez pz.

Just wash it out when you can

The solution to pollution is dilution

 

Salt won't stain, but you may see white residue of the salt when the water evaporates. Those that live near the beach just accept that. If you did it just once, it will vanish over time.

 

Vinegar is only going to make it smell like vinegar. Salt is water soluble and easily vacuumed out of carpet. It will pick up the moisture in the air and become wet again, which is why you don’t want it on metal.

 

Distilled water will work very well for this.

Yeah…I am probably overreacting a little
I just bought this truck so you know how it is with a new purchase.
I added on about a teaspoon of salt in my hydro flask but somehow it leaked on my seat.

 

I think the real question is why are you adding salt in your water bottle?

 

Salt is good it provides electrolytes which keeps you hydrated

 

DO you think we may have beaten this topic to death yet ?????

 

I’m sure that your daily intake of salt is consistently sufficient. Why not just consume electrolytes and vitamins separately?

 

I only get salt from the foods I salt myself and in my water. I workout 1.5-2hr 4x a week + run. I do take minerals as well such as potassium zinc copper iodine etc.
